Ribz Front Pack
Specs per manufacturer:
A front pack is a pack or bag that allows for access of equipment from the persons chest. Front packs first and foremost allow for easy access of gear without the removal of any equipment. In many adventure outdoor activities it can be critical to the sport to have the ability to reach essential gear fast without the removal of a backpack. Simplicity is the foremost purpose of the front pack but there are many additional benefits as well.

Shifting weight forward in situations when carrying heavy loads can be critical to the comfort and balance of an individual. Backpacking is a sport where in many situations it is critical to both minimize or maximize the contents of your load for a longer or lighter duration of stay. The ability to move small amounts of weight to the frontal region significantly reduces overall stress on an persons shoulders and back. Moving a small amount of heavy equipment forward to a front pack can allow for an individual to either maximize or minimize the overall load contained in a backpack.
In all there are unlimited uses for the front pack. Front packs are the best compliment to any outdoorsman’s gear when accessibility, functionality, mobility and simplicity are required. Findings:
At first glance I wasn’t at all sure about this pack. I had not seen a pack like this before. But I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted easier access to stuff in my pack. Ribz provides that access. Unlike a fanny pack, Ribz keeps your load close to your body without compromising capacity. I was able to fit 3 of our jackets in the pockets! And my camera and snacks for our group. Because the pack fits close to your body, you really can’t feel the weight at all. For mamas and papas, this is a perfect accessory to babywearing. With the babe on your back, you will still have plenty of room to stash all your essentials in this front pack. It is easy to use and adjust. Zippers are well positioned for easy use. Be careful to order the right size. The regular is too big for my frame and the pockets reach too far around my back. A small would have been a better choice. For a larger framed person, the regular is just right.
