Findings: Julbo has the largest selection of quality sunglasses for babies and kids I have ever seen! The choices are awesome! There really is a color and style for everyone. They are sized well for kids. I tried the Coach glasses on several kids in the 3-5 year age range and they fit them all nicely. Unlike the $5 Walmart kids glasses, these glasses stay on the kids very well. This is good because at $30 – $45 a pop, you really don’t want to lose them! There is a rubber tip on the ends of the frames that grips gently to the side of the child’s head. The angle of the frames assists in staying on too. I found the metallic paint on the Coach glasses scratched easily–that was somewhat of a bummer. You have to expect kids to rough up their glasses despite all of our efforts otherwise. The frames of the Ozone and Match glasses are a different material and I haven’t seen any scratches at all yet on them. My kids all liked the glasses a lot.

So the big question would be, is it really worth spending that much money on sunglasses for little kids who are going to scratch them up and could easily lose them all together. Hmmm. Well, their eyes are worth it for sure. The potential for damaging their retinas with either no glasses or cheapo ones is high. There are adequate cheaper glasses out there on the market that do block UVA & UVB radiation. The frames are not as well made though and you will likely go through 3 or 4 pairs of them during the life of one pair of these Julbo glasses. That ends up making the price fairly comparable. For quality, selection and performance, I score these a perfect 10.

Findings for the Looping 2 infant sunglasses: (By Anne Reed) Strengths: the strap worked great, it was a must for my active boy to help keep them on.  They were versatile, they were never “upside down”.  Very flexible and durable, another must for my boy; the lenses never popped out and he couldn’t break the plastic, no screws or anything. I don’t have any scratches on them yet, but I was told to be careful with them (the cloth case it came in, helped with that), so I don’t know if they scratch easy or not.  Overall, a perfect sunglass for an active boy, they thought of everything with these glasses.

Weaknesses: Not really any, I don’t know if that shade of purple was boy appropriate or not, but the green weighed that out.
