Big Island Adventures with Big Kids

Beaches make the best destinations for families. I remember traveling to Hawaii when the kids were little. It was easy! Pack a big bag with beach stuff and camp out all day by the water. As the kids have grown older, trips have become involved. Don’t get me wrong, they still enjoy some quality beach time, but they also want to bigger and more adventurous things. While this is very awesome in so many ways, it also poses some challenges. For one thing, it is more expensive! Rentals for kayaks, surf boards, paddle boards, zip lines, and snorkel charters all add up.

We are headed to the Big Island in May and are busy lining up some big adventures for our crew. Ideas in the works:

1. Evening snorkel with manta rays

2. Mauna Kea Summit Adventure

3. Surf lessons

4. Ziplining

We’ll be reviewing whatever adventure we end up with to let you know which ones pass the teen and tween grades! Stay Tuned.
