The kids aren’t babies anymore, but they have a love of the outdoors and still enjoy trips with their mom.

Jennifer Aist has been taking her four children into the backcountry since they were each newborns. She is passionate about exploring, discovering, and connecting children with nature.

As a family, the Aists have hiked many hundreds of miles on trails, floated rivers, and paddled oceans. Jennifer and her husband both volunteer for Alaska Search and Rescue Dogs and are active members of the outdoor community in Alaska. Jennifer is the director of parent education and a lactation consultant at Providence Children’s Hospital in Anchorage, Alaska, where she teaches Babes in the Woods, Babes in the Snow, and Babes on the Water classes each year.
